Well, it has been a whirlwind of activity for aquaBling lately! We have had lots of media spots, which have been wonderful in getting the word out about our product, mission, and philosophy. Ah, the mompreneur lifestyle! Always hectic, always jumping from this thing to the next, and the two are very seldom related. Today was a perfect example of doing business in true "mompreneur" form. aquaBling was present at the Celebrate Women event, sponsored by Her Voice magazine today. It was a fabulous event, and for all of the women who came by to wish me and the business well, thanks so much! It was wonderful meeting so many fantastic women. At any rate, the event ran in the late afternoon to evening. My son's well child check also happened to be today, but in the early afternoon. Since I am superwoman (aren't we all), I saw absolutely no problem with this slight "double booking", and put together a plan of action so that I could be organized, prepared, and ready to go.
Well, the doctor's visit took much longer than expected; plus, the mms that I gave my son to stop his crying after getting his immunizations got smeared all over my left sleeve and right shoulder when he went in for a snuggle while getting him dressed. There I was, sitting with my chocolate-covered son, 30 minutes from the event I was supposed to be at in 15 minutes, and I still had to take him to the babysitters and set up my booth! Needless to say, everything worked out fine. I met wonderful women and talked about aquaBling with chocolate on my sleeve and shoulder, and it became quite a conversation piece.

I think that is what makes mompreneurs so fantastic. We can wear so many hats in a day, and don't find it the least bit odd to switch from one thing to something completely different. I am so proud to be counted among the "mompreneurs" of the world, and count my blessings each and every day to be able to run a business, run a family, and love both! Long story short...I love my chocolate-stained aquaBling shirt, and I will happily show up to any event wearing it and feeling great!
